About the Colloquium
Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai is collaborating with Centre for Asian Legal Studies, Faculty of Law,
National University Singapore, University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and Indian Law Institute, New Delhi to host the
South Asian Research Colloquium on Constitutional Law 2021-22.
This conference aims to bring together academic and professional professionals from all over the country to debate
and analyse the successes and shortcomings of UNCLOS over the past 40 years as well as its continued relevance.
To mark the fortieth anniversary of the adoption of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, MNLU Mumbai
is hosting its Annual Conference on Law of the Seas on the theme UNCLOS at 40.
This will be a unique opportunity for the participants to strengthen their comparative research on constitutional law.
It aims to publish peer-reviewed high-quality academic research articles in the form of a special issue.

- Submission of Abstract: 30th November 2022
- Communication of Acceptance of Abstract: 4th December 2022
- Last Date of Registration: 6th December 2022
- Date of the Conference: 10th December 2022
- Registrations are open till 30th November 2022
Platform: Webex shall be used for paper presentation and conduct of the conference.
